An Impressive Late 15th Century Brass Pricket Candlestick

The iron pricket, secured to the drip pan in the correct manner – an inner tin disk, the pricket protruding from the centre, held in place by three rivets.

The bold stem, rising from a stepped foot, below a vase, a discoid centre and at the top a peardrop.

Lovely, rich bronze colour with excellent patina.

Netherlands, circa 1600.

Height 21.5 inches, base diameter 7 inches.
